I think you need to find a more reputable mechanic to do your clutch work.

Yes!

You chose an unqualified shop.

You usually get what you pay for.

Did they follow the steps in the FSM?

Probably not!

Buy cheap and you usually end up buying twice with lots of aggravation thrown in at no extra charge.

Good luck to you.

Hey guys, so I brought it back to the shop today for the following problems after having my JWT Clutch and flywheel installed:

1. Car shudders in low RPM when letting off clutch. (They say it's due to the lightweight flywheel)
2. Torque in low RPMs all the way to 3K is non existent. (They blame it on the lightweight flywheel saying I'd lose low end torque and gain horsepower)
3. Pedal to the floor in any RPM before 3K, there is a 1 second delay in response and even then it doesn't go. (No explanation, they say it's normal.

They refused to address any of my problems and blamed it on the aftermarket clutch and my driving saying the car drives normal. I am kind of iffy because reading reviews online of others who have installed the JWT Combo says that their car respond and drives much better than stock. Anyone care to chime in?

The shop messed up and doesn't want to admit to it and do free work. Your car should be driving fine. I would be persistent and then lawyer up if you have to.

You can also look into taking it to another shop and having the other shop document all of the problems and take pictures, they will find all of the mistakes the other shop made and give you documentation for your case.

I hope you paid by credit card.

Call the credit card issuer and request a charge back.
You will have to put it all in writing and include documentation preferably from a dealer that corrects the problem.

Good luck

Maybe you should properly break the clutch in for about 500-1000 miles. It should be fine after.
