Throttle lag on acceleration

I hace a 2010 G37x.Anyone have a suggestion for a lag on acceleration at different demands? On accel for instance going around a corner let off for a second or two then re-accel will has a lag of approx 1-2 seconds before engine will respond. At lower speed cruising (20-30mph) on accel sometimes has a hesitation. I won't even go into the trans lag on downshifts. Aftermarket programmer?

There are TSB's for this...May or may not help. The trans in this car while good & reliable is programmed for tame use. No programming options I'm aware off...

I use the paddles 24/7 for this reason. In the gear I want all the time.

I have the same issue, but I have done the updates, and am Supercharged, so that may be the reason. Probably getting too much fuel. lol

install a grounding kit and it will help a little. Also more low end torque helps too,. These cars are high strung and weak on the low end. HFC's and M370 manifold are supposed to help that a lot. Plus a tune. I need the M370 manifold and a tune and I will be done with engine mods until I can eventually afford a supercharger,

Too much $ for me....I just live with this car for what it is. Coming from a SRT8.....this thing has zero grunt lol. But it is a lot nicer!

I have run down an SRT 8 in mine (6MT)... so even without the grunt, this is a quick and awesome car!

With that said, I have noticed a little lag too. If I am on the freeway in 6th gear and I hit the gas to change lanes or something I can feel a little studder. Not sure what that is about either but I am thinking its not the trans. I am 6mt and it sounds like you are AT...would both have the same afflictions?

I had the update performed in April of this year. The vehicle was perfect afterwards. Then... slowly it started coming back, the hesitation and gear searching. I was curious if any of the aftermarket programmers (Diablo, Hyper-tech, etc...) would have an effect on this. Any one....?

On a side note, the car performs perfect when large amounts of throttle are applied.

Have you cleaned your throttle bodies recently? Might want to try that.

I agree with this. Under normal acceleration and on mash it performs! Like I said, I only get a little lag when cruising on the freeway in top gear and hit the gas...slight hesitation.

Sounds good. I was getting some throttle lag and hesitation around 2500-3000 rpm's. Cleaned the TB's and it's improved. It's still not ideal, but I think a tune will change that.

Turn off your VDC. The car is sensing you are turning and won't give you full power until the car straightens out.

The G37 is just weak!!! The computer makes it worse.
I've done the grounding kit, dealer said they reprogrammed the trans, cleaned the throttle bodies even though they were pretty clean. Replace the oem air filters with new oem. Car still hesitates, lurches, and all round sucks to drive. I would sell this pos but need to stop buying and selling cars every 2 years. It's killing my wallet.

Because you got a lemon you think the car is weak? What did you drive before that was better in your eyes? Maybe next time you get a sports car get it in manual..I have not had the crazy issues you seem to be having on the same year car. I mean I have the slightest lag on acceleration in 6th gear but nothing that sours my driving experience. How many miles are on your car?
