Making 37s coupe exhaust louder while retaining the note? Also hks
So I'm new to the G, I love the way G's sound whether it's the 35 or 37 is there anyway to get the exhaust louder without loosing the note? I had a s2000 before with a hks hi power, which wasn't Loud but wasn't quiet either. So is there any way? I'm sure that I'm going to get a berk hfc but will that do it? Also to those of you that do have a hks hi power, is it too loud?
I have a 2008 coupe and I used to have Stillen ceramic headers to Fast Intentions high-flow cats to the HKS Hi-Power catback exhaust (took it back to stock while troubleshooting some issues). That combination was AMAZING! The G retained its famous exhaust note, in fact the HKS smooths the note a bit without losing the original sound, resulting in an even greater note (imo). As for the noise level, the HKS does make the note louder, and there is a nice touch to it. If you keep the car in low rpm the note is only slightly louder than stock (good for driving through a quiet neighborhood late at night or when around cops), but if you run up the rpm it gets much louder than stock. You can even hear it with the windows closed and the radio at low volume. If you are willing to pay the money for the HKS it is well worth it on the G, and imo it's the best sounding exhaust for the G. But, please make sure to buy REAL HKS products, don't buy the bull**** ripoff models that drove HKS business out of America! I also recommend to have the HKS exhaust modified to have the H-pipe replaced with a X-pipe. It made a world of difference in performance (smoother feeling acceleration) and it smoothed out the exhaust note and made it sound even better.
