I'm not sure what the dealer charges but I work at AAP (Advance Auto Parts). The Denso Iridium plugs, FXE24HR11, are $14.99. I do however get an employee discount. I'll let you in on a little secret though. I buy everything, for the most part, online and use coupon codes. The coupon code TRT30 gives you 30% off and I have been using it for around 9 months.

Spark plugs are an item that the vast majority of owners will only need to change only once in the life of their car. They are expensive because they're long life platinum or iridium plugs.

Why at 80k?

Are you having a problem that required a spark plug change?
The owners manual recommends a plug replacement at105k miles

My plugs removed from my previous 06 G35 at 106k miles

they are cheaper on rockauto usually, worth checking. only takes me less than an hour to change so i did it at 30k. that was way too early, next time will be at 80k (50k miles on the plugs)

It's starting to look like spark plugs are getting to be a non-maintenance item given the cleaner fuels and computerized engine management. That's okay with me.

Al

P.S. Also remember you don't have to buy these from the dealer. As you can clearly see the NGK or Denso brand on them and their part numbers, get them from a cheaper source. They'll be the same and work the same.

$21

I just rolled over the 70K mile mark and was looking to change my plugs too.

Rockauto has the AUTOLITE Iridium XP, Part# XP5682 @ $5.15 + $5 shipping with a handy rebate of $2.50 each, valid thru December.

My old Altima SE-R had 86k on it when I sold it, never changed the plugs and it ran like a top.
