Doing some searching I came across something interesting. It was a post by G37Sam on another board from when he swapped gears. It said he found 3.357 gears in his 08 5AT diff when all the specs indicate it should have had 3.69 . I hope he's reading this so he can clarify.

Yeah, we were ALL scratching our heads on that one. HIs car was purchased overseas. Not unlikely they had different specs.

It's an EASY verify: mark the pinion and output shafts and count rotations. Call them. Your trade offer will make everyone smile, including THEM.

I did'nt really trust the sellers of the 08'diffs so I went ahead and got two 08' driveshafts. One fits 6mt and the other auto. Total cost for the two was 310.00 shipped. I also got a Whiteline Bushing kit to do it right. Cost of install has been worked out and it's going to run me 300.00 for the differential and a set of FI RHFC's. I'll give it a month after install to get a new Uprev license for my cable since I never took it off my Titan when I sold it. ( It would'nt run on a stock tune with Cam's and an LS7 throttle body.) On the plus side my cable already has a Tuner license so that saves me that cost all over again.
When this is over and done I will dyno, take it to the track and do an all in one build thread.

First driveshaft came in today from the 08' 6mt. Measures @30" going by my metal harbor freight yard stick. I can see paint in the near future but I'll wait for the other half due tomorrow from the 08 5AT. I'm thinking a light clean and scuff followed by etching primer and rustoleum hammered black metallic. Whiteline bushings are here also.

Second driveshaft came yesterday. Pulled it out of hiding to measure the front section. It measured slightly shorter than the 6mt front half. 36.25" vs 37.75" . The only two things I have to get now is an Uprev license for my car so that I can immediately turn off the P0500 code and a set of Hankook 285 35's for the rear. So I'm danger close to having my stock looking brawler.
