It can be fixed!
Some epoxy glues may work on this plastic but some won't. 3M makes a plastic repair epoxy especially for plastic parts which might be flexible or work on flexible connections. It's called Automix #5887 and is used by most body shops to repair damaged plastic parts of all types. Sets in around 10 minutes and should do the trick. Good luck.

I think I broke the exact same piece trying to install the Z tubes. My understanding is that it's unnecessary. Let me check my posts as well.
