G37x Coupe horrible mpg??

So I bought a 2010 G37x coupe recently with only 25k miles on it from a dealer with good reputation locally. I love the power and the acceleration of the car but, the mpg is absolutely horrible!!I did expect the poor mpg but never expect its that low! I drive in local without hard acceleration and only get arond 14-15, sometime 12-13. Im not sure if there is anything wrong with the car, or any problems? other than this, the car is fine besides i took it back to the dealer for an alignment since it shakes when driving fast. any thought??

These car gets poor gas mileage it's pretty normal. I've seen folks around here get anything from 12-16. I average about 19 mix city/highway.

That's pretty low if you're serious about not accelerating like mad.
Using premium fuel? Tires in good condition? No crazy toe in?
I'd do a quick precautionary oil change, etc...

I get 21mpg when aggressive and 23mpg when calm. I have 60/40 city/hwy mix.

thanks for the feedback and yea..thats why I have concern. If I drive crazy and get this mpg, I probably wont complain. but driving with caution and getting a mpg like this? its too much for me. I do use premium fuel and the tire should be new. Not sure about the oil change...but regarding the dealer is not very responsible, I would probably do that.. Btw, do you think taking it to the infiniti dealer and ask them about the possible reason would help at all?

Have you reset the MPG indicator to see what you are getting since you took delivery of the car? The salesmen at the dealership drive the sh*t out of the cars. Reset it and see what you and only you are getting per gallon.

I get 16-18 mpg and I would consider myself a spirited driver lol. You may have an issue if you are getting less than me, and aren't like tracking the car lol.

Just like farmurr, I too am a spirited driver that usually shifts around the 4- 5k rpm range when I want to hear more engine roar. I also live in NYC so stop and go driving is a norm here. That being said I get 16-18mpg combined.

Last fill up for me was 10.8, minimal heavy acceleration (LA traffic). I think it dropped a bit lower these days as well...

I get about 20-21.5 avg. with mixed driving. I am measuring my mileage by fuel and miles driven at fill up. Apparently the computer is not that accurate...at least what I have read

Maybe the computer is off .... fill it up and check mileage the old fashion way.

Berimbolo, how long ago did you purchase the car? How many miles have you put on it yourself? Bc the car's Ecu might still be going off how the previous owner drove. You can do an ECU reset (check the DIY pages). also before doing that; reset all your "fuel economy info" in the dash and thru the center console. Then fill up and use premium. Hopefully you should start seeing better averages.
