i think you are fine. I have a 09x and i've been getting 15-16mpg max
I do 100% city

After I got my autostart installed, its more like 12-13mpg. I usually warm my car up for about 5 minutes before taking off

I get around 13 to 14 city and 23 to 24 on the road with sane driving. Spirited driving definitely lowers those figures.

Good point by 2008G-Man. I will check the old fashion way.

You have to remember awd is going to consume more fuel.
On the evo hwy 15 mpg only 210 mile range from full to empty.
I avg between 8-12 mpg when driven aggressively.
Even my juke gets like 28hwy & 22 city.
It's got half the hp of a g.
Only ones I know that make high hp & get good mileage, hate to say it BMW.

seem like our figure varies quite alot! from 12-13 to 21-22. I'm wondering if we are all referring to awd with auto start? mine is awd auto start over all its more like 16 ish driving moderately..maybe im still not used to this car since my old one is a economy one? Sometime i feel like i can feel the gas gauge going down lol i really dont like this feeling.

Ignore the "computer" reading to start with for now. Fill it up, reset the trip meter and drive it until almost empty. Then divide the miles you went by the gallon's you put in on the next refill ... old school. The ECU is probably anticipating the prior drivers habits, etc. Reset all the readings, reset the ECU and have a go at it. Put a few tank fulls in and check each one without using the computer..... what did we do before computers.

I have an 09x Coupe and with a mix of local and highway driving I average around 21.5. I have found that I get significantly better gas mileage if I use premium alcohol free gas.

I recently went on a trip from Knoxville to Boone NC and got close to 26 mpg. (25.39) Drove a total of 447 miles on a tankful (17.6 gallons pumped) and still had 45 miles left on the distance remaining display! What really surprised me about it was it was mostly back curvy roads up and down mountains in sport mode but very little manual shifting.

On average, my daily driving is 20 miles back and forth to work each way. The way in is early in the morning so speed is somewhere between 70 and 80+ MPH. Home is a little slower with some stop and go and up to 65 MPH. I work 7 day stretches so during that time its almost all highway driving and I get between 21 and 24 MPG.

On my week off, I drive around town and take short trips so my driving is quite variable and I see an average of 19 to 21 mpg but can go as low as 17.

A few things I've learned:
1. Gas mileage is much worse during cold weather
2. Premium Ethanol FREE gas makes a BIG difference... but is more expensive
3. My MPG "computer" is fairly accurate - but I still manually calculate miles driven/gas pumped to the 2nd time the pump clicks off.
4. The ""sweet spot" for best mpg on the highway is between 65 and 75 mph
5. There is no sweet spot driving around town

That does seem really low.

With normal DD, I get around 19-20 mpg going heavy city stop and go driving. If I split it 50-50 city/highway I'm averaging about 22-23.

2010 G Coupe (non-x).

I'm getting 10-12 mpg city during this Canadian winter, with very average driving. Pure highway I'm getting about 22-24 mpg. There is a tremendous difference in our cars, probably due to the high displacement engine from all the start and stops.

I get an average of 23.7 mpg (10 liters per 100 km) for the mixed city/highway summer use. The car sits in the garage for the winter.

This engine is by no means built for economy.
It's a trade off, unless maybe a v8 with cylinder deactivation.
However, large displacement engine in this car is as big of a v6 as you can get .

The q50 does get much better mileage.
My friend had a coupe & now the q50.
He spends a lot less then in the coupe, same commute.
So it varies.

There's no point warming up your car. You're just wasting gas my friend.. You should warm your car up at least 10 seconds though.. not 5 minutes.. Lol
