UpRev Tune

Osiris UpRev
Tune Location:
Hills Garage,
Baltimore, MD
I heard nothing but good things from forum members/reviews about this place so that’s why I went to Hills Garage. Frank is very courteous and friendly and he was able to answer all of my questions. I never met Suzanne but she answered all of my hundreds of questions via email and on the same day; but she did call me on the phone once and she was also courteous and friendly. They have good customer service and I will definitely recommend them to people looking for a tune.
Car/Make/Model:
2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe 5AT
Mods:
Fast Intentions Cat Back Exhaust 12” Resonators w/ upgraded X Pipe
Fast Intentions Resonated High Flow Cats
Stillen Gen 3 CAI
Motordyne M370
Comments:
I loved my exhaust when I only had the FI catback but when I installed the FI RHFC is when I really fell in love with it. It sounds a little louder now and I love the “gurgle” that it makes when you release the accelerator; it has a nice deep sound to it and no rasp whatsoever. When I’m going from a dead stop (light) it has a little bit of drone around 40mph but then it goes away when I’m cruising and it doesn’t get in the way but when I hit the accelerator/WOT daaaamn that thing gets loud and I freaking love it; some of the people that hear it say that it sounds a little like a V8 hehe. I took my G to the track and ran the 1/4 mile and I got 13.7 and I plan on going to the track again within 2-3 weeks with my newly acquired mods/tune

284.8 WHP
230 TQ
After Tune Dyno:
311.5 WHP (+27whp)
258 TQ (+28tq)
Map Info:
Map 1-Regular (Unlimited)
Map 2-Regular (Unlimited)
Map 3-Regular (Unlimited)
Map 4-Valet Map (Max 65mph, 4500rpm)
Map 5-Anti-Theft Mode (Car Does not start)
Map 1-3 I left the same because I'm never going to change them so I only have 3 different maps.
Thought I'd include a video of the tune in process You can skip it to about 0:55secs. I have a couple more but it's the only one I have uploaded so far.

Great Gains Man!! I bet you are loving it. Are you planning on any other mods or are you just going to start working on appearance? 4.08's in the future?

Performance wise I think that's it for me. Next is springs and some new wheels then maybe an aftermarket bumper.

So, can you really tell the difference? What about adding more people in your car...can you still notice it then?

I've always wondered, and may be others can chime in on this as well, is it worth getting an aftermarket tune for my AT. The only bolt on I have is the FI catback. The reasons I'm looking to do this is: correct my AFR (if it's even that off from just a cat back), promote the longevity of my car, eliminate the throttle lag (poor acceleration from cruising), and hoping to correct the AT's attempt to rev match when decelerating heavily. Is this reason enough to opt for a tune. It's worth noting that I'm not looking to get any more bolt-ons in the future.

Btw, that's for the review op

I can definitely tell the difference and I got almost +30 more tq. I've only had the tune for 2 days and I've had 1 passenger and the power still feels the same and doesn't feel like it goes down.

Well I'm not that auto knowledgeable but according to the tuner my AFR was good and said that the car adapated to my driving habits and it was not running lean or anything and I had the cat back exhaust and stillen gen 3 intakes for about 4 months and added the m370/rhfc for 2 days then got a tune. If you only have the catback exhaust I don't think that you NEED the tune. I can tell that the car is better at accelerating from a stop and I don't have to step on the gas as much as before. If you are not going to get anymore breather mods than I don't think it's worth it to waste $$$ on the tune because I don't think that you will get that much from it; but I'm a noob so I may be wrong.

Well quoting "TeeItHi" I think you can make it look something like this:

Map 2 - 155mp/h / 6000rpm
Map 3 - 80mp/h / 5000rpm
Map 4 - 60mp/h / 4500rpm
Map 5 - 45mp/h / 3500rpm
So question is. Is map1 = aggressive and map2 moderate? Or are you talking about different tune?
Or whatever you want

I hear that, LOL
I would change one map to a 30 MPH limit, I had that and will do it again for a valet.

I'll 1up for Hill's Garage. Frank & Suzanne are superb people who really care about their customers and their cars. Been there a few times and will keep returning.

Finally got mine done as well thanks for your data Vizard.

Was leaning towards ecutek but I could not find a tuner and the price was almost double so I am glad I went with uprev.

I only got 2 maps on mine though: high performance/valet

looking at everyones graphs It looks like uprev does not do much as we thought for intakes.

What was your base and end result? What kind of intake do you have? I think the cold air intakes give you a little more.
