When do you guys usually change this? Or do you even need to?

 

Our cars have long life coolant. I flushed and refilled at about 50K when I installed silicone hoses. It was in fantastic shape and probably didn't need it. I'd suggest 100K. Probably only once during the normal ownership for most people. OEM coolant and distilled water.
