Help Engine noise and shake

Engine noise and shake
I had a bit of issue earlier today. After driving for 3 or so hours the car was shut off and 20 mins later I came back and when I started it, the engine was shaking really badly, I could see it on the shifter and I could hear a clanking sound. When I gave it a bit of gas the whole car shook. So I shut it off and restarted but it still happened. I opened the hood for it to air out and after around 30 or so mins later I tried again and it was fine. I have driven 2 8 hour drives and this never happened. Any clue what it could be?
O yea car is only a few months old with 4k miles.

Was it making a rattling noise or was it just shaking? If it was just shaking have you checked your air filters or MAF sensors? Do you have any mods on it?
