My last oil change at the Infiniti dealer was with 5W30 Mach 2 synthetic. I though they were using Mobil 1, but after a Blackstone oil analysis, they told me that the oil had Titanium and Sodium and that Mobil 1 doesn't have either. Blackstone thought that it was Mobil Super based upon the virgin oil analysis and the results of my test.

^I did get a sample of the oil to send to Blackstone and I sent a question on whether they used titanium and sodium to Reliance Fluids. They came back and told me that it was propriatary information. I guess I'll have to send the virgin sample to Blackstone to get an analysis.

 

Yeah, no company is going to tell you exactly what's in their products. But like you said, a VOA will tell you. And then you can compare it to a VOA of what you think it is. I.E., Amsoil.

 

^Amsoil seems to be what the majority believe it is. I've seen that conclusion in other chat rooms.
