SPORT DS mode pros/cons

So, I've been enjoying the new G37 for a few weeks.

I just discovered the SPORT DS mode but not sure what the pros/cons are of using it.

Is the better throttle response proven?

I'm embarrassed to say, but I rarely drive in DS mode. Does that make me a bad G driver????

I drive in DS mode when in heavy highway and interstate traffic. When you put the cruise control on it also reduces the RPMs until you need the power: it will down shift more quickly to the lowest gear required to be efficent.I use DS most of the time for spirited driving conditions.

I can't tell the difference between D and DS other than the fact that shift points are higher...

Well then it sounds like you CAN tell the difference between D and DS mode.

DS basically holds lower gears longer and downshifts sooner. All in All it makes the car 'feel' sportier. I don't know of any engine modifications as such by switching to DS mode.

Since my transmission update, my transmission downshifts aggressively during hard braking. I like this feature because it helps eliminate the lag that plagues many of us
