Reuse your g37 ecu. This is because you are reusing your g37 engine harness.

This is correct. No need to switch ECU over. Just use harness from 08. You will possibly need the O2 sensors from your old car if the new engine comes with them. Have heard the connectors are different.

For VHR there were 2 different plug types.

You can reuse your original o2 sensor also

Engine swap

Okay this will be my first swap ever . Any pointers ? Will be pulling with engine hoist . & I saw info about injectors if anybody else has done this swap what all did you have to swap over . I’m including pictures of the motor im installing

install the powersteering pump from your G37. As you see with you new engine, there's no PS pump since the Q uses electric assist. Injectors are the same.

Just reuse your upstream O2 sensor from your g37 because if i remember, your harness has the rectangular grey plug and the Q uses a flat brown plug.

Okay so they guy ended up selling the motor I wanted and I ended up with another just like what I have but I’m running into a problem with the oil filter . Old motor has black cover with lines attached news one does not . Hoyt’s do I swap these over ?

If I’m not mistaken the later model engines came with oil coolers. Follow the lines to see where they go then go look and see what’s on the other block. Compare and contrast my forum padawan
