Crusie control cut-out switch

I have broken my cruise control cut-out switch, also known as the cruise control release switch. It looks exactly like this one:

It is the one that sits above the clutch pedal arm and is normally depressed only when the clutch pedal is in the full up position, not the one that depresses when the clutch pedal is pressed down. For those that are knowledgeable, I need some confirmation. I believe that the car should still start and drive normally (I have not finished reassembling everything with the clutch pedal assembly to find out for certain) and the only thing that will be affected is that I will be unable to use cruise control. Is this correct?

Finished install and found my own answer before anyone posted it. FYI, everything works normal except cruise control doesn't work, just as I thought.
