Clutch replaced under warranty.

Every time I turned off my car, a horrible noise came from the transmission around the clutch. I bought the car, a 2010 Sport Coupe 6mt, in April with around 39,000 miles on it. From day one I hated the clutch. I replaced the pedal with the RJM pedal. Best mod ever. But the clutch still didn't feel right. When taking off the clutch would "chatter" and literally shake the whole car. It didn't do it every time so I just thought it was me. Even though I've been driving a manual transmission since my first car, and I'm 41. Finally got tired of the grinding noise when I shut the car off and took it to the nearest dealer Crossroads Infiniti in Raleigh NC, an hour and a half drive. They replaced the flywheel and the entire clutch. Everything. All under warranty. Now the clutch feels like every other clutch I've ever driven. The paper work said the "dual mass section stuck in one position". I know a lot of you have had clutch/flywheel issues. Thought this might help.

Son of a beach. The noise is back. That fix lasted about 3 hours. At least I got a new clutch out of it. Back to the dealer I go!

If your staying stock

If they decide you need a new clutch.... maybe call jim wolf technologies. THey have a nice organic clutch that's much stronger than stock and keeps same pedal feel. You may have to pay for the parts but install will be free.. also might want to upgrade the commonly failing parts for the trans while its open.. labors pretty much free at that point.

They put it a complete new clutch and the noise was gone. Drove home, backed into the garage, shut the car off and the noise was back. But the clutch feels a million times better. What are the commonly failing parts for the trans? And what's a TOB? Thanks guys.

these

Throw out bearing, pilot ball, and clutch cylinder. You should also get the braided clutch line while your at it.
