So, a year ago I bought an 08' G37S coupe with 17k miles. It had every option available and was babied its entire life (hence the 17k miles over 4 years). I just hit 30k and did the service myself. It was pretty damn easy. I swapped the diff fluid with Mobil LS synthetic 75w90.

I drained the diff and then pumped in fluid until it slowly flowed out of the diff (about 1650ml). It was a pain in the *** to get the car lifted and level. Simple two plugs, a drain and a fill.

I drained the 5at trans while on ramps and drained out 3800ml, then refilled the same volume of matic-s ATF.

Both fluids looked perfectly clear and smelled normal. The magnetic drain plug on the diff had a bunch of gunk on it. I can't say I'm too surprised since I think this was the first time it has been checked.

The in-cabin filter took about 10 minutes to replace thanks to the instruction found here. $12 from autozone

Motor oil and air filters also changed.(Mobil 1 synthetic, and K&N)

All the other stuff on the list looked fine. Anybody think of anything I missed? My dealer wanted to charge an obscene amount to do this work. It was pretty easy!

Surprised the dealer wanted to rape me so hard...

Yes it does. I looked long and hard for the flawless G that had everything I wanted. Bought it from an individual that bought it brand new. 17k miles over 4 years....the guy was **** about it for sure. It's black on black. Not a single door ding and ZERO swirl marks in the paint. Always garage kept, and I don't even drive it in the rain....bad weather days I drive my truck.

Hope to make this car last many many years.
