Can I supercharge my auto g??

I was wondering if I can supercharge my g which has an auto tranny safely without having to worry about it blowing up? I don't race anything but would like the extra power this would be my daily driver car.

just depends how much boost you want to run. With our high compression engines its not smart to run high boost in a DD

With that kind of aspiration, then yes the engine will blow up and rather quickly.

you can boost anything w/ an auto tranny. I did mine on a 08 G35 and putting down 430WHP.

You can do it, doesn't matter who you go with for the supercharger. It depends on tuning. I have an auto and supercharged. Been running for over 20k now, no problems.. I did invest in tranny cooler at the beginning and did the tranny upgrade just recently. But it was running fine before that, the tranny upgrade just sped up the shifting speed.

Which transmission upgrade did you go with? Did you just do a valve body upgrade, or did you get a fully built Stage 3 or 4 transmission?

Great question. Asked honestly and cautiously.

Needs to do more reading....

...and he's done his research and is now an expert. Welcome to the internet forums!

Sorry, man, this really gave me a chuckle.

Generic answer: OEM components, even auto transmissions, can handle the power up to about 500. 400-450 would be considered 'safe'. (400 might be considered 'smart'. )
