Edited* Selling the car for a C6 Vette, so I am selling the R2C Intakes as well.

Thanks.

G37s aren't meant to be drag cars... So if you worried about running at the track... You picked a bad car to start with.

There is validity in your post, and I'm not surprised.

However, you are painting with a broad brush if YOUR only experience is with the intakes. Generalizations are just that. Seat of the pants experiences are just as subjective.

All this said, smaller diameter intakes and exhausts provide more low and midrange power: The powerband we use 95% of the time.

Example: No one will convince me (or my time cards) that 2.5" exhausts aren't suitable for max output. I'm proving that they work, despite the hype.

Back in my WAYY old M/C drag racing days the guys who ran quickest STOCK record times with a 3-cyl Kaw H2, left the stock intake boxes intact and simply removed the filter. Everyone else was running individual velocity stacks which were supposed to make more power. I was told the increased midrange helped them launch more effectively.

Thanks for your experience on the intake, but hold off on the expertise if you haven't actually tested other components. That's conjecture.

Best regards,

Coop

If you wanted a fast all wheel drive you should have went to Audi. Second the only real way to tell is to do some kind of test. Drag strip or vbox or something. Seat of the pants could be tricky because your only looking at marginal increase in power unless you do forced induction and the almighty placebo effect.

If a baseline dyno says your horsepower and torque is x then the new numbers on the same dyno and same conditions are y which is more than baseline. You're making more power. 10 hp will not show a big difference on a test either. Generally that is when you may be able to feel it by the seat of your pants.
