Check out GTM's website. They offer all kinds of race parts and forged motors. But be warned there is not a big customer base so all these parts are $$$

The stock VQ is pretty stout and has seen numbers over 600

If memory serves me right the pistons and rods are cast. If you're going to boost and want to do it right, forge that ish and drop the compression a little while you're at it! Otherwise you'd have to run very conservative tunes and do your prayers everytime you put your foot down.

OP, Just swap in an RB ^^^

I'd look on the 370 forum, seems like there's a lot more built applications over there

yea I checked out gtm very pricey il probably get the pistons and connecting rods there. As far as the crank shaft they only have a 4.5l stroker crank that is like $4000 im not going to go that route with the stroker crank but my plan is to get the gtm stage 2 supercharger and put about a 100 shot of nitrous in it. This is my everyday driver so I want to play it very safe.

Sounds like your previous car was a Mustang You'll be much happier with a Stage II twin turbo kit IMO and besides, the fuel & engine internals will be a limiting factor at anything above 500whp from what I've seen on here.

Check out this link. Good write up about the VQVHR 3.7. If you keep the boost with in reason and stay away from knock you should be good to go.

thanks for the link timp, does anyone know where to get a forged crankshaft for the vq37vhr? I've been looking everywhere cant find one. Also an estimated price on installation of forged internals, a supercharger, and nitrous kit.

Negative on the OEM forged internals. Be a pioneer, start a build thread with forged goodness.

Get ready to open that wallet and leave it open!

OEM crankshaft is forged. At least according to Mike Kojima. I'll take his word for it.

Did nobody read the linked article?

From page 3
The rods are strong and beefy as is the forged crankshaft.

ok my next step is to replace pistons and connecting rods. Anyone know if its a whole lot different to do it than an American made car such as a chevy, ford, etc...?

Call Carrillo or CP Pistons (same company) in California. They can do your pistons and rods.
Might as well sleeve it at Darton East if your going to take apart your motor, and get to the block. If your going to do that, might as well work on the valvetrain since your heads will be off. Ferrera can make you a custom set of valvetrain. Everything is included.
Just need to a find a shop that understand the complexity of the heads, cams, etc, etc. Should be golden.

As good as that sounded, the VVEL will not let any of that happen I wouldn't let anyone near a VQ37 head to be honest. Just pray they don't damage it when they separate it from the block.

In all honesty, with the power goals you're looking at, you're much safer leaving the block untouched, slap a stage I kit and call it a day.

ok thanks for the advice il just put a stage 1 kit on it and not take any chances in the internals. That being said the stage 1 kit I seen on gtmpower.com the dyno graph showed 421 hp. Can I put nitrous in the car at all with the stock pistons? and if so what shot is the max while still playing it safe and not being worried something will blow when I put my foot down and hit the button.
