Good thing the built engine is "only" for your daily driver.

Most people who are FI are not using built bottom ends. There are a number of owners running as much as 500+HP who are not built. They are simply not beating on the car and its holding up fine.

Your posts seem kind of all over the place. Are you building a race car or putting turbos on a daily driver? What are you trying to achieve and how is the car going to be driven?

The car is my daily driver, im trying to get about 475 horses under the hood or close to it. On a scale of 1-10 id say it would be about a 5. Occasional race but I don't really drive it hard except on a track maybe 1 or 2 times a month. Let me know if I can go over 475ish hp without breaking nothing without FI.

How do you plan to get another 200 HP from the car without forced induction?

Yea the FI I meant to say forged internals. Is it possible to put the gtm stage 1 SC and a 50 shot of nitrous? How close would I come to breaking something? I'm basically trying to get to around 500 horses to beat a Cadillac cts-v.

Typically on the forum when people are discussing engine modification FI means forced induction, not forged internals. FYI.

The best thing you can do right now to learn about the ability of the car and how it responds to modification is to read. A lot. There's tons of threads by different owners about their builds. Their successes and failures. It's all here for the reading. A link to a very good article about the VQVHR engine was posted earlier in the thread. Did you read the entire article? Start there. Then read everything you can possibly read that's been posted by the people who have already done what you are trying to do and then some. Then ask specific questions if you still have them. If you want to know about a GTM product, send a PM to one of GTM's reps that post here on the forum as sponsors and ask them about it. Asking vague "Can I build this car to beat a CTS-V?" type questions won't likely get you solid usable information. Educate yourself first. Then you'll know what you need to know. Or what questions to ask someone if it's about something that's not already been discussed and posted.

(NOTE: it most likely has already been discussed and posted )

Take a moment to write be clear.

At last, the reality check comes in: Grudge run.

Nitrous + Grudge Run = FP: Failure Prone.

^^^ What G37Sam said.

^^^^^ See that guy who just posted above me? ^^^^^ He is probably as familiar with the forced induction capability of this engine as anyone is. Look at his signature. Read his extensively detailed build thread. Ask him intelligent questions. Although he's already told you what seems likely to be your future in the previous post.

Good luck with your goals.

Coop is an old fart and I'm not too far behind him. I think I'm mellowing with age. But I still have my bad days too when the fuse is pretty short. My "back away from the keyboard before you type something you may regret" days.

Noobs need to be pointed and encouraged to go in the right direction. Hopefully they stay on that path. OP seems like a good guy who's new to this platform and just needs to educate himself on the best course to reach his goals. We were all there at one time, right?

What are you going to do when he gets a smaller pulley, bolt ons and retunes? lol

Forget about Nitrous for the time being, the stock block already has crazy high compression.

Do a 350 shot, I double dare you!
You know building your block just strengthens everything right? Allowing you to push your car harder. Doesn't really add power.

Oh by the way. In today's performance world you can do anything.
