Stalled on a hill, minimal response from the gas pedal, some kind of limp mode

I was on an uphill and happen to stall ( I barely ever stall anymore ). Traffic behind me and in front of me.

Car stalled, i clutch in, start the car again, and something is wrong!!!

There is barely any response from the throttle.....i needed to floor it to get rmps to raise 1000. also lots of lag when pressing on the gas. I had to floor the gas and almost keep it there to get to 3-4 RPMs.

I didnt know what to do or even begin to check whats wrong. All i could do is put hazards on and keep shutting the car off and on, offf and on, off and on.

Took about 10 times or so and it finally started with normal throttle response. I drove off....parked on a level street and shut the car off and on about 6 times to make sure it will be fine with normal throttle response.

I didnt abuse the car or drive it hard prior, car has about 2000 miles total.

Debating if i should take it to a dealer now or wait a bit and see what happens....ANYTHING i can do? Perhaps i was doing something wrong?

Has this happened to anyone else with 6MTs?

WTF......

Thanks guys

Roman

did you get any kind of CEL? what kind of gas are you putting in?

i wouldn't wait to take it in. especially if it only has 2k miles on it. that should NOT be happening.

Any updates on this?

If not, try the ECU reset trick to synch up the throttle bodies...

Anytime I stall or recover from a near stall, I notice that my engine gets a "hiccup" after I step on the throttle. It goes away after I reset the ECU, so I assume that me trying to step on the gas as the engine stalls causes the throttle sensor to get "misaligned". Your scenario sounds like an extreme case of the accelerator not synchronizing to the throttle bodies...
