Agreed, supply and demand is a better term. They'll still more than likely need a stock driveshaft to go off of dimension wise.

No probs. Its worth a shot. And if it does happen, it would be one of the best mods.

Bryan@PowertrainIndustries emailed me:

"Thank you for your interest. *Unfortunately*we have not been able to build and test this model composite shaft yet. *It can be done, but we would need a donor shaft to design it first. *If you could supply us with this, we would be happy to extend an R&D discount for your troubles."

Anyone here want to volunteer to be our donor?

We have Mark@PST as our original Group Buy option.

Now we have Bryan@PowertrainIndustries as another option. But they require a donor driveshaft.

^^no worries. I'm hoping someone can drop by Powertrain Industries so they can make measurements. If that's all it takes?

As for how long this would all take for us to have a Carbon Fiber driveshaft in our hands, I'm not too sure.
I'm waiting for Bryan@PowerIndustries to reply back and Mark@PST to be back in the shop Feb 19th.

Bryan@PowertrainIndustries replies back in regards to our Group Buy:

"Excellent. *
Yeah, we've got some fairly high interest on these G37 models. *We would be happy to have someone from the forum bring their car into our main shop in Garden Grove, CA to help us create the kit for the 1pc composite shaft. *If you would like to post to anyone near our location that would be interested, our address is
7532 Anthony Ave. Garden Grove, CA 92841.*
We would just need to bring the car in for a quick 2 hour R&R of the shaft. *We would then be done with car until we get the shaft assembled and ready to install (2-3 weeks). *We would then need to bring the car back for its final install of the new driveshaft. *Thats pretty much it. *
With a large group interested in these shaft. *I would need to know VINs for each. *The AWD shafts are different style as well as the Autos vs. Manuals. *But i would*definitely*be able to discount the final product down*significantly.*
Thanks"

Can someone go by their shop?
