^^for sure.

I emailed Mark@PST today for our Group Buy discount for 10, 15, 20 etc number of people but he is away until Feb 19th and I was told to contact Cliff@PST. I gave Cliff an email about what I've spoke to Mark about and now I'm waiting for a reply back. Mark usually replies back pretty quickly. I guess if anything we'll rack up more people interested for the Group Buy list until Mark is back since he was the guy I originally spoke to and gave interest in our Group Buy.

I think if we get a discount figure of some sort we can decide whether it is worth the price, how many more people we need for the Group Buy, details of the Carbon Fiber 1pc driveshaft and get things going a lot faster.

I've never looked into upgrading driveshafts ever so I'm not familiar with these companies either. But I know a lot of people use these companies from other forums. Not just that, there arn't many companies who even make Carbon Fiber driveshafts that I've found.

That's why I posted to everyone to do thier own research and let us all know what kind of information they find.

If there are other Carbon Fiber driveshaft makers out there, we can always present them with our Group Buy interest too. But for now, Powertrain Industries and Precision Shaft Technologies are the only ones that gave us any interest.

Youtube'd some vids:

Look at the clearance for Carbon Fiber driveshafts already and it's supposed to be made with a small overall diameter. I can't imagine how a Aluminum driveshaft would fit if it has a bigger overall diameter than even the stock driveshaft.
Different cars than our G37's but still a good thing to consider.

They're reputable for sure.

Also, I wouldn't expect a huge discount. They're not cheap to make and the R&D that goes into them is pretty extensive.

I'm thinking $50 - $100 off for 10 - 20 group buy. That's what I've seen in the past, but I could be wrong.

What Research and Development would be involved beyond getting the correct dimensions for our driveshaft? They already make CF driveshafts of multiple lengths. The process is the same with slightly different dimensions from what they already offer. I do agree with you that they probably will not give us much of a discount though, but I believe it is due to supply and demmand versus R&D costs.

^^ I'm thinking the same too.

I'm just curious to see what type of discounts we get from PST or Powertrain Industries.

For now, if people are interested just add yourself to the list.
You're not obligated to purchase anything!!
