I need to push the Push Start button 3 times to start my car!
I have a 6MT 2008 G37 Coupe.
For some reason when it's cold outside, I have to puch the PUSH START button 2 or 3 times in order to start my car!!!
The first time the accessories light up. The second time nothing happens. And the third time the ignition finally ignites..
And yes, my clutch is engaged the entire time.. I don;t think it's the clutch switch that needs to be adjusted cause if that were the case then it would never start.. Not even on the third try!
Any ideas? (They key here is that this only occurs when it's cold outside)

I'm not trying to be smart here...but have you tried holding the brake pedal, in addition to the clutch, while pushing the start button?
Try resetting your ECU. There should be NO correlation between the temperature outside, and how many times it takes to turn over the car. Is it ALWAYS 2 or 3 times? Assuming you're out of warranty, it could be the module that controls the startup. Could be as simple as swapping out your 'push to start' button. Sorry I can't be of much more help! G'luck!

Well guys let's try this for fun and it shouldn't cost any money. It's always in the cold. Sounds like it might be also moisture related. Try locating the switch on the clutch pedal area and if it has to be closed (circuitry wise) for the start module to recognize that it's down. Duplicate that connection manually, as in the diagram, so that it will always show that it's down. Then see if it will start correctly. If it doesn't, that should prove it towards the start button switch or module. As you can see by the PDF attachment, it's a little more complicated than just a few switches. Also from what I've been reading, they keep referring to checking that there is a good battery voltage available. So that's another good place to start in that the battery is healthy voltage wise (not amperage) for the computer modules which are involved with this process. Good luck on this one.
