Driving DS mode ?

I notice when I drive in DS mode I feel a jerk like in third gear. The tires is not slipping. When it's it in D mode it seems fine, is this a sign of transmission problems ? Has this happen to anyone, also it's when I drive aggressive it's seems to happen.

D = normal drive
DS = sport mode

The gears shift differently when in sport mode. The car shifts in different RPM's while in DS mode and in D, that's why you feel the jerk.

The car gives a jerk and then I fell the next gear kick in seem like the the car could be much faster if that didnt happen.

It's because in DS mode the car will not shift until a much higher RPM if you are doing any acceleration with more than baby pressure on the pedal. On the downshift it's rev matching and is much harsher.

DS Mode = harsher, tries to mimic aggresive manual shifting, poor mileage
Normal Mode = smoother, more the touring aspect of the car, better mileage

I notice this, too. I'm not sure I even like DS mode - I'd rather the car be docile when I don't care, and allow me to take control via the paddle shifters when I want more fun.

Rev matching happens on downshifting. What jking describes just sounds like he's throttle happy and because the G is revving higher before shifting in DS mode than in D mode, he's feeling the shift more.

Why? Put your car in D and be happy if you don't like the feel of the DS mode. Problem solved.............Or learn your car.................once you figure out the 7AT it really is a far better tranny than people on MYG37 give it credit for.

Why? You can hit it into a manual type mode (Tiptronic) and switch gears on your own. When you put it into DS push up and you'll be set into first gear and then you're basically manual from there.

I just got my car almost 3 weeks ago and still breaking it in, just starting to put some pressure on it so I haven't really played with the tip too much so can't even say how it's like, except that you gata know & feel the car otherwise you'll mess with the transmission.

Only gears 1 - 3 .... I found it pretty awkward myself. I'm OK with DS mode for the few select times I use it (aka when I feel the need for speed or some high schooler in a civic pulls up next to me and revs his 4-banger)
