Clutch brake fluid vanished

My 2008 G37S Coupe has 67,000 miles. Purchased it new with no problems until now. While driving a few days ago, I lost the return in the clutch pedal (would return with a little help from my foot from underneath). Barely got it to the dealership this week and they called and told me it had no fluid in it. They filled the system and it works fine. It does work fine, but thinking about it, the car shows no sign of an external leak and they tell me they performed a pressure test which was fine. I am concerned - where could the fluid go, other than leak internally? I am concerned that it will occur again soon, or after the warranty is up. I am guessing a pressure test is not an adequate test, as something must be wrong for me to lose the fluid. Any advice on what to do is appreciated.

I am pretty regular with scheduled maintenance and the dealership has never noticed the fluid being low in the past.

Only a leak could be the culprit of fluid loss you've described so I would check the master cylinder for a leak. Hard to miss if there was one. Dealerships can be a shady business so I would take it to a reputal autoshop and have a second opinion dude.

The leak is likely at the concentric slave cylinder, not the master. It's inside the transmission bell housing (genius engineering). Drop the tranny and you'll discover where all your fluid went.

Thanks much for your response. Would a pressure test come out ok if the slave cylinder had a leak? I am a bit disturbed that the dealership fixed the symptom by adding fluid, but not very confident that I dont have a problem they need to check into further.

Did you ever solve the problem. I lose a little fluid every 6 months. Does the fluid mix with with the transmission fluid

they can't find the leak (yet) because the fluid is leaking into the transmission bell housing. once there's enough in there it will start to seep out.

Had this happen to me yesterday, went to start my car (08 g37s 45k) and the clutch went to the floor and didn't come back up. The reservoir for the clutch is completely empty and there is a leak on the ground. I looked under there and couldn't see where it was coming from. Unfortunately I'm 650 miles from home on a business trip so I had it towed to the closest dealership and got a rental. I'll post back on here when I found out what they say. BTW the rental VW Golf barely gets better mpg than my G.

you shouldn't need to drop the tranny to see the CSC leak. I remmemeber there being a little slot where you can see it through and/or find the fluid there. Happened to my buddy too some time ago. I went underneath and saw the fluid dripping out from there. The dealer covered him even with an aftermarket clutch
