there's a 4.2 long block for sale here. Did you figure out what went wrong though? Looks like GTM kit can go kaboom.
Any kit can go kaboom! I'm considered very lucky after having some high detonations with my previous kit my engine is still running strong and smoothly. Cannot thank Sam@GTM enough for this too.

no thanks, i need it to be all new to eliminate variables! any FI can fail!!

yah true. It seems some members are more forgiving when it's GTM kits. You buy the FI kits to enjoy the extra power and not so much for the after customer service. I'm sure OP has to shell out extra funds to get the engine built unless its being replaced for free by GTM unless there's some other reason for this blow up.
