HELPPP with new NEW TSB for 7AT

I made an appointment a couple of days ago to go into the dealership to have the new TSB perform on the 7AT due to the lag and hesitation. When i arrived at the dealership, and talked to the advisor they refused to update the TCM/ECM to the new TSB that was just released. He told me that because of my aftermarket exhaust, they would not perform the requested TBS as it was part of the powertrain, Wtf ? Has anyone gone in for the new TSB with an aftermarket exhaust and had the same problem or are they just trying to avoid doing it? If anyone can help me out that would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

I would. What exhaust do you have? I don't see it having anything to do with the transmission.

Horrible dealer IMO. That makes no sense (sounds like they haven't heard of the Moss-Magnussen Act).

Go elsewhere and you will likely get better service.

I would be fuming.

The burden of proof is always on the dealer. They are the ones who are required by law to prove that your modifications cause them to not preform warranty work (basically that your exhaust is causing your transmission problems, which is ridiculous). You should not have to prove them wrong (Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act).

With that being said your best bet is to try another dealer. Your current dealer is obviously going to be a pain, might as well start a repoir with a new dealer now.

Thank you for all your responses. I was trying to get the TSB at Legacy Infiniti of Lynbrook NY where i originally bought the car. I had just recently called another dealership regarding the TSB for the 7AT and told the service manager in advance that i had an aftermarket exhaust on the car. The manager proceeded to ask me if i had original cats which i do. Then he helped me make an appointment asap and told me as long as i had original cats, it not be a problem. Now my question is how or where can i submit a complaint about the dealership? I went in to have the Airbag OFF light problem for the passenger seat a couple of months ago and was also refused because at that moment the airbag was fine...and we could not reproduce the problem. since then the airbag off light is on from time to time and still hasnt been sorted out. They told me it was just the way it is and they would have to spend alot of time to fix the problem....
