{shrug}. The only noise I get that resembles this rattle is on cold starts. At that time, I suspect it's not the throwout bearing but rather the valvetrain inside the engine. The noise lasts for 30-45 seconds then the car quiets to a whisper. The car is kept in a garage, so plenty of surfaces to echo from. My car was brand new off the lot too, < 20 miles on it when I signed the papers.
The camaro had 10K miles on it when I bought it. I noticed the noise right away on the first cold start. It sounded like a coffee can full of marbles (ie. cement mixer) being shaken. At 80K miles, the noise was still there, possibly slightly louder, but everything worked fine with the clutch/trans.

I heard these noises last night too and i just got my 6MT 2008 G37s a month ago. It sounded like a spinning whining noise. When i stepped on the clutch all the way, it stopped and when i let go, I hear it again. Is there really no fixes for this?

Mine does the same, it is what it is I guess.

sounds exactly like what my car does. (cement mixer, gear whine, noise goes away when the clutch is disengaged)
i'm changing out my clutch and flywheel this week.
(did all my homework from lurking here forever)
-19lb southbend steel flywheel
-stage 2 clutch by southbend with quiet disk.
-motul gear 300 75w90 gear oil
-hd clutch slave upgrade
-new master cyl
forked out a good amount of money for this upgrade, hopefully it'll make some difference. i doubt it'll fix the tranny whine, input shaft bearings suck on these cars.

It drives loads better but the clutch pedal is much stiffer (at least in my case). I also have the RJM pedal so I'm able to play with the stiffness and catch point. I have clutch chatter right at low rpms that kind of sounds like a mini cement mixer but the trade off for a better clutch that wants to be revved is totally worth it.

the noise is so retarded at times.. most times the noise is there and it's tolerable but at times it sounds as the car is falling apart... i hate it.
dealer says if the noise is excessive they usually replace the trans.
