Hey everyone,


So I have recently been hearing this rattle or high pitched noise coming from my exhaust when idle and also reeving. The noise is especially louder when I am in a parking garage.

Essentially, I found a thread https://www.myg37.com/forums/engine-...ust-sound.html. The driver has almost the exact same problem and his video sounds very much like my vehicle.

The problem is that he ended up having warranty cover the new mufflers. When I went to the dealer, they told me it would cost me 800 dollars to replace this. My warranty has expired as it is a 2008 g37 sport (according to the VIN number)

Any suggestions on what I may be able to do in order to fix this? Another body shop found that by hitting the pipes with a strike of a hand, made the sound go away. But it just ended up coming back.

Edit* I guess it's not much of a rattle but more of just like some high pitched grinding noise.
