Twin Turbo G37x question...

Was wondering if GTR "auto" transmission would fit on G37x, if not what would be best way to go about transmission ultimate goal is to have 550+awhp or get a close as possible, dont want GTR so please don't say might as well but a GTR or anything like that. Please anything knowledgeable is appreciated.

Will not work. Auto transmission is not as simple as making it fit. The ECM communicates with the transmission to tell it when to shift. This CAN communication will not be compatible between your car and the GTR tranny. You might have an easier time with trying to fit the beefier FX50 tranny. In the end, after all the costs of turbo, transmission, and labor, it'll be more expensive than if you sold your G37x and bought a GTR.

End of story.

"fit" is a relative term. you can make anything fit with enough fabrication.

why anyone would try to make a $25k trans "fit" in a $40k car is beyond any reason i can imagine...

Why don't you just buy a GTR? lol j/k...But seriously.....
No an AWD G37X would be f*cking amazing. Do it. Do you really need a new tanny? The 6MT's seem to fair well and having 7AT should do the same. You blow it you blow it..But you have to pay to play

I think he was thinking that its a lot less to make a g37x faster with a twin turbo than to buy a gtr. I have no idea how a auto tranny would react. I seen videos of people with the 6mt doing it and it works fine

Do it right! Swap both the engine and transmission

The Juke did it, I don't see why a G37-R would be impossible?

Hey hows it going, What you need to check is the rating for the front half shafts, Differential and transfer case. I Believe that the m56,Fx use the same equipment. I meant the trans are the same. So starting there we know we can build the trans to about 600 hp. I know they make beefed up transfer cases for the nissan titan. Check to see if this is the same model.

There's some people on this site that have TT G37x's. Not sure on their whp or torque, maybe they will chime in.

Based on experience, the 7at cannot handle too much torque. 6 and 7 gear seems to be the weak point. If you have the funds, throw a built 7at and it should be fine for the power goals. 550awhp, with the available kits in the market would be a gt28rs, say mid to high 400s of torque, you will defnitely need a built trans
