GTM or Stillen Supercharger

Ok, I'm looking for opinions on which kit to go with. Stillen or GTM. Please tell me why you prefer one kit over the other. Please add any known negative elements of each system as well. The price difference is negligible so it's not an issue. It will go on a 11 g37 sedan with the 7AT. I don't plan to track or race it. It's just my daily driver and I'm looking to "enhance" that daily drive. Any figures on what will happen to my mileage are welcome too. Thanks in advance.

Just search. There really isn't anything about this that has not been discussed already.

Yeah yeah yeah. I did and read them. I'm looking for input mostly from guys that have the kits and have driven them for a while. I should have specified that.

Eric, you are way more patient and more of a nice guy than me. As a previous poster said, there is a whole $hit load of info on both kits here on our forum (paraphrase of course), including updates from people who have had both kits for a while. Maybe I am just old and crotchety like Chekov but I still think a little effort would yield a lot of results.

^ hahaha! You old jerk! JK!

Yea, OP! Searching around can actually get you some answers way faster than making a thread that's already been answered a dozen times. If you asks me I will only tell you from my personal experience about both kits. Just remember that there's no such thing as in perfect! All kits will more or less have a little bit of flaws in them.

With that said, Eric has some good (and bad) experience. Listen to him if he is willing to take the time to relay it to you. He is a stand up guy and will give you all sides straight up.

I have also followed the GTM vs. Stillen threads and advise you to listen to the guys who have already had this debate. I have also had the experiemce of bad customer service in dealing with one of these companies on another matter. When it comes time for me to go towards FI, I have already made up my mind.

Like I said, I'm aware there is a search function. I did search and did read a lot of the threads on the subject. I'm looking for stuff that you haven't discussed. Observations you've made. Why you didn't go with the GTM. If you had the choice to do over, would you still sticvk with Stillen. If you're too busy to provide positive, civil input, just move along and let those that wish to beat this dead horse ... beat it some more!

I have GTM stage 2 SC, can't say it's been smooth sailing, but then again with builds like this, problems should always be expected and no matter what, reliability will decrease dramatically. You should expect to spend much more effort into the car and be careful with many things.

Funny how the supercharged people are complaining of more problems. I've had my TT kit for 25k miles now and it's nothing but fun for me. 0 reliability issues.

If warranty was your biggest concern, I'd say go with Stillen. If better power and torque delivery throughout the powerband is your biggest concern, I'd say go with GTM. I feel the Rotrex is a superior blower. Both kits are very reliable IMO. Weiboy is your best resource for this, since he has owned both. Good Luck!

Given Stillen's complete disregard for their customers, I have severe doubts about their warranty program. You probably have a very slim chance of getting "warranty" service from them. More than likely, it'll be blamed on your install and/or tune.

There are enough threads and reviews on this matter already, no need to start another war

Thanks for understanding
