Shift difference between D and DS.
I thought the DS was so cool (3 years ago) when I first bought the car for the simple fact it down shifted by itself and don't think I've touched it in the past 2 1/2 years. Also it kills your gas mpg!
I usually drive all the time on DS mode, not going to lie feels like it pulls harder on D lmao, but I like the downshifting when pushing on it, also I still feel a delay when stepping on it and I have all the updates done :-( .not the happiest with the Auto I miss my 6 speed g37 coupe
Mine feels like it pulls harder in DS mode haha. I also love manually downshifting via the paddles just to get that lovely growl from my newly installed Ark exhaust... man I'm in love with my power band even more now.

I bought the car about a week or so ago and drove it around in D and thought man this is the lamest lag..... I guess I am going to use these paddle shifters all the time...then I found DS mode. Much more responsive....
Is the transmission update something that you just ask for at the service department? Hesitant to do so because mine feels nice...
I had a BMW M3 and there were a bunch of aftermarket guys offering tunes and they were able to get the DCT so responsive it was amazing....no aftermarket tuners for this trans?

I'm a guy that's never had an exhaust on anything but a stroked out V8 Mustang and was iffy about adding one to this V6. I didn't want it to sound like a bumble bee like some of the big can Hondas I have heard over the years. I've only had the Ark on for 1 week and let me tell you..best decision I've made In a long time. This thing sounds amazing esp around 3-5k rpm range, deep and exotic sound. And let me say what most say, video doesn't do this exhaust justice. Check around the vendor section, the tax return sale might still be going on.

Back to original subject. I drive in M as much as possible. Only issue is that the TCU won't allow up shift below 2k rpm.
In D or DS on the road with cruise engaged, the stupid thing downshifts to 5th from top gear if ANY acceleration is called for to maintain speed. Just another reason to leave it in M as downshifts only occur below 1500 rpm or so.

Sorry for the thread hijack folks...back to paddle shifters.
