Amsoil Severe Gear 75w-90 diff fluid change

Came across a good deal for 2 quarts of Amsoil Severe Gear 75w-90 diff fluid. Just wondering if anyone has used this weight and brand for their differentials.

I have a 2008 g37 journey that I just recently purchased. I got it with 56k miles (now has 62k miles) so I just wanted to take care of some basic maintenance.

Just not sure if for some reason these cars require a specific diff fluid or if the Amsoil 75w-90 will suffice...

That is what is recommended by Amsoil for our cars. I'm about to purchase the same stuff for my rear diff.

Do you think going with Amsoil recommeded tranny fluid would be good too or for the trans should we only use the nissan matic stuff?

Has anyone had any issues after using Amsoil in their diff? I am soon going to change mine too. Was debating between OEM and Amsoil.

I've changed amsoil on my manual trans and diff at 100k. At 135k with no problems.

thanks everyone for your feedback.

I'm going to stick with Amsoil for the diff fluid and trans.

I did my first two oil changes with Amsoil 5w-30 and its great stuff. Noticebale difference in valve noise compared to Mobil 1 5w-30.

happy to use all Amsoil for motor oil, trans, and diff!

i used amsoil diff as well as gearbox fluid for the previous change. no issues with the diff fluid, and no friction modifier was needed.

at my latest change i went with redline fluids in both the diff and gearbox. i can't tell any difference with the diff (noise and lash is the same) but the gearbox is smoother in cold weather using redline MT fluids. other than that, the amsoil and redline fluids are about the same....from the driver's seat, anyhow.

When I used Redline in manual trans cars it seems to work more freely cold than any other I have used. However Amsoil thinned within 3-5 min. and was the same.

I used amsoil, my buddy used the redline mt-85. results are the same. Only difference I see is on cold starts where redline had more freeplay than amsoil.
