Diff bushing

Has anyone's diff bushings gone bad? And did you guys just replace it with a stock one under warranty or aftermarket polyurathane one?

The two on the side of the pinion, or the rear one that leaks??

If the rear one leaks, a new rear crossmember is warranted, and warrantied!!

Seems to be more prevalent on 6MTs.

That bushing is not something that can be pressed out and a new one pressed in?

lol those are awesome. i've heard that it puts a lot of stress on all the other driveline parts thought. is that true? ie transmission (bushings, and physical transmission). too bad there aren't any diff braces out for the 37's, or are there...?

Those solid bushings make for an intolerably harsh ride and noise you wouldn't believe. I've ridden in a car with them. It saps every ounce of luxury out of the car.

I guess it's because 6MTs launch harder.

I have a couple times, but not too much, I always feel bad for the whole drivetrain when I do. But I do tend to toss the back of the car too often, guess that's what caused it. But still I don't think it should go out this early.

I was thinking about these, but since Black Betty said it's that bad, guess it's not worth it.

From what I hear it's connect with the whole crossmember.

Thanks for the info, I was actually thinking about it but at the end of the day the car has to keep some of its luxury. But I wonder if Moog or any of those bushing companies make the polyurathane ones.

Oh one more thing I'm worried about is that I have eibach springs, do you guys think they might try voiding the warranty because of this? I'm also scared to take it in with test pipes

I wouldn't take a car in for anything suspension related with any suspensions mods on it. If I were in your situation, I'd definitely swap back to stock springs before taking it in. But that's just me. Some will disagree.

If you find a good poly one available, let us know.

Technically the diff, and related bushings are not suspension related.

The crossmember is fixed, the diff is mounted to the crossmember.

BB, we are not discussing replacing the crossmember to body bushings.

The solid bushings do not affect the "ride". The diff to crossmember
bushings isolate the differential only.
The worst that can be felt, or heard is the diff gears and bearings telegraphing through the crossmember.
But the crossmember has soft bushings where its attached to the body.

Springs have no effect on the geometry of the crossmember, the leaking bushing is a known issue with Z guys.

^ I hope so, just don't feel like changing the springs then aligning it, then doing the hole process all over. It's going in tomorrow, lets see what happens.
