LSD and AWD
LSD and AWD
In the RWD Coupes, I know only the S model comes with LSD.
With the automatic power distribution, does the AWD model inherently come with LSD, or does it only distribute power front to back, not left/right?

The AWD models do not come with a limited slip. The transfer case determines how much power goes to the front wheels, it can transfer upto 50%.
The side to side slip is controlled by ABLS (Active Brake Limited Slip). It can brake one wheel on an axle to transfer power to the other wheel. I think this is even true for RWDs with a limited slip.
Turning off VDC does not turn off ABLS, there were threads about this, it only turns off the traction/throttle and stability management systems.
I have always wondered if us AWD owners can put in a limited slip diff in the back. Maybe it will mess with the AWD algorithm or maybe not.
