ECU / Programers
I use a bullydog just because I had it from a previous car and it's interchangeable although only 1 vehicle at a time. I can't tell if it made any differences as far as performance goes but it is nice in that I can use it to display many things including transmission temperature, A/f ratio, engine temp, load and some others. Supposedly can read check enginge codes although I havent had to use it for that yet. It allows you to change your max speed governer, timing, idle speed, redline cut-off and accellerator sensitivity. It includes a tune (or-detune) that allows you to use 87 octane rather than 91 although I wouldn't recommend that. It Also can check your 1/4 mile times and 0-60. I dont know how accurate that is either although my first time at the track I ran a 14.01 bone stock in D mode with traction control on. Now after takeda CAI, Berks HFC's and Bullydog - bullydog is showing 13.8 for 1/4 mile. Nice thing is that you can use it for other cars also and It cost me about $340 new. If you're strictly looking for performance, I wouldn't really recommend it because I didn't feel too much of a difference. But all the other features make it worthwhile, at least for me.
