Manual mode Neg Effect

Hey guys,

I have been driving in manual mode for the last three days( WAY MORE FUN). Is there any negative effects on the trannies shift patterns? I know in my wifes G35X-S, I used to use the paddle shifters ALL the time and when she would drie the car she said it shifted funny? Just wondering if anyone else drives in manual mode most of the time and has no issue when they go back and let the ECU make the shifts?

BTW had a lot of fun with a M5 on HW yesterday AM, Me = , Was very surprised.. Manual FTW

Should be fine unless you don't shift, but even then I believe the rev limiters and whatnot should protect your trans. As for changing shift patterns, it's probably just the ECU learning your "driving style" while in manual mode. I'm guessing you don't shift until later in the RPM range when you're in manual mode, so the ECU was learning what you wanted and adjusted itself in auto mode to match it better.
