if it's like the kit from the VQ35DE motor, no thanks.....

JWT has a damn TT kit for the VQ35HR motor, but not for the VQ37HR... they need to hurry it up

Best of luck to you overseas! Let us know what you decide when you get back and post up how the install goes.

IMO, a turbocharger > a supercharger.

I like the idea of "free" power instead of a pulley-driven supercharger that steals power to make power.

Sure, both can make gobs of power, especially when you're talking higher boost pressures, but still, I'd take a turbo over a blower any day of the week. And it is awesome to be able to control boost pressures on a turbo. With a supercharger, you're stuck with whatever the supercharger puts out with any given pulley size.

Oh, and boost whistle is just so much nicer than blower whine.

I have a GTM stage 1 supercharger and I have to say I love the power I have now. Any more and I'd prolly kill myself. I may consider stage 2 later.
However, if you want more power overall and you have the funds and a 2nd car, IMO go turbo.

If you value your life and have a family like I do, then go with the supercharger. Plus this is my DD that is another thing to consider. Not to say that the SC is anymore reliable than a turbo.

And gas mileage is another thing to consider. I prolly average 12 mpg with 600cc injectors double the stock injectors. she drinks alot. its not required but recommended according to Sam.

Just some practical things to consider for FI.

^^^ Absurd, and even more absurd. C'monnnnnnn.

My experience: The GTM Stg2 turbo's powerband is so smooth you can't tell when it's going on boost, much less a jolt.

(Fear-factor salesmanship? LOL! ) Safety is completely in the hands of the driver. Think it's too much? Reach down and turn the boost down to a lower level. On the turbo systems this is manually adjustable.

Have fun with whatever decision is made.

^^ I find a supercharger a bit safer as there is less strain on the engine (smooth use of boost rather than a sudden use of boost). That being said I'm a fi noob. So that's just my opinion.

Turbochargers always build boost from zero psi to their maximum boost pressure. There's no on/off switch type of action, so to say "sudden" use of boost doesn't really apply to turbochargers at all...
