It all depends on how you drive it. I can wear out the clutch in < 1 mile if i wanted to.

If it's your first manual, it'll probably wear out pretty quick. But that's not really the car's fault.

With that being said, an experience driver can get at least 50k out of the clutch.

I just picked up a 2011 Sedan 6MT on Turesday. Been driving Manuals for 10 years ranging form Audi to BMW. I am having some issues on 1st. I have stalled more times this week in the previous 2 years combined.

I dont know what my issue is.

^It just takes time to get used to it. From my experience, the clutch feel is so different from honda's or miata's that I've driven that you have to really focus a bit to get it smooth. Also, try not to rev too high on launches because our engines are very torquey and will wear down the clutch fast if you slip it too long on starts.

It's because of the high clutch engagement.

Search for the DIY clutch pedal fix. I think its the "#2" one that you would want to do. I lowered my engagement point a week after I bought my car and its cake to drive...i don't even have to lift my heel off the floor.

My first manual transmission was my 2009 G37s Coupe 6MT. I learned how to drive a manual on my G.....I think it's one of the hardest to learn on. Anyway, I'm close to 40,000 miles (yes, for a while, I was driving a LONG way to work, before I got my commuter) and I haven't had ANY problems with my clutch. When I was first learning, I thought I had done some damage to it and had it checked out by the dealer on numerous occasions. But everytime they test drove my G, they said there was nothing wrong with it. I think the clutch in the G's is pretty hardy, they're not a cheap one that will wear out. Given this, I am still very cautious with it just in case. I love driving a car with a manual transmission now, even my commuter (Ford Fiesta) is a manual.
