Bad slave cylinder again
Trending Topics
Yes I just had this same thing happen to me last night was showing off my new G37S to a friend of my and was pretty embarassing when I punched the throttle the car revved up to about 7,000 rmp the clutch peddle wasn't coming all the way back up and clutch was still partially engaged which was really nice with the smell of burnt clutch in the car and my buddies smart **** remarks didn't help.
Now before this happened I had changed out the clutch fluid several times using the turkey baster method/ sucking it out of the clutch fluid reservoir and using synthetic DOT 4 brake fluid. Have had no issues with daily driving but none to happy about hearing about all these bad slave cylinders out there. I'm going to try to actually bleed the slave cylinder tomorrow to see if that solves my problem but highly doubt it

^^Doesn't sound like a bad slave. Sounds more like a worn out clutch and/or a pressure plate that's not applying enough pressure against the clutch disc. Unless, somehow a bad slave is preventing the clutch from being fully engaged. Typically a malfunctioning slave will prevent you from disengaging the clutch - PEDAL all the way to the floor, but clutch remains [partially] engaged.
How many miles on the car? How long as it been abused for? Maybe time to spring for a stage 2 clutch...
I doubt bleeding it will help. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Car only has 29000 miles on it. I'm the second owner of the car but don't think the previous owner abused it considering that the previous owner had the car in for routine maintenance like clockwork according to the Infiniti service reports. This was the first time I really was hard on the car.
