Hfc + injen cai wot smell

Hfc + injen cai wot smell

when i hang in the high RPMs i can smell fuel.i noticed it a little with my CAI but now that i put on my HFC u really notice it!!!guess im runnning lean and i need a tune??

It doesnt make sense to smell fuel when you're running lean. Lean = less fuel than stoichiometric. If anything, the HFC is not cleaning out the exhaust fumes as well as the stock cats. You're smelling the fumes as a result fo the HFC, not really because you're lean.

But that doesnt mean you are not running lean.

thats weird i was smelling this with MY INJEN ONLY when im past 5krpm pretty sure it has to do with intakes

It's the HFCs cause they don't clean the fumes as well as stock cats

I too get the fuel scent in higher rpm's. I only have injen cold air intakes.

could be some left over residue from the manufacturing process that finally burned off due to the excess heat

I would have it checked out. These after market air intake could mess up the map sensor reading and make the car going crazy, to rich, too lean.. no horse power gain but harms.

it was smelling way before the HFC ITS THE INJEN INTAKE im just wondering WHY

that's odd...i have the injen cold airs too. i had no enhanced fuel scent come from the car? even with my current exhaust setup, i don't have a significantly strong combustion smell. i guess it's subjective. i noticed from the get go that our cars have more gas fume scent that most other cars...

like i said, subjective?
