The 6mt makes a lot of racket, it is very typical of G's to make all sorts of noise that goes when the clutch is pressed in. I am very surprised to hear some people were able to get transmissions replaced out of that noise. Sometimes mine sounds and feels like there's gravel grinding around in there. Sucks, and I'm not saying its acceptable, but its the reality of our 6mts.

I agree, it does suck and at first I was like what the heck are all these noises. After driving an Acura TSX that made NO noises, super quiet, air tight, and zero (I mean ZERO) problems - this was quite a change. I went through a period of regret and frustration after purchasing this car, but then when I realized that some noises are normal then I learned to accept them. This forum helps A LOT! The bottom line is that this car can be noisy and a bit quirky at times, but man is it sexy and fun to drive. I hope after all the work I've had done since I bought it used a few months ago, it doesn't give me any more problems (fingers crossed). I'd love to keep this car for a long time without having to dump a bunch more money into it.

About this noise you're continuing to hear, I would just stop worrying for now and just enjoy your car. Since they replaced your tranny, you have a brand new warranty on it. Just continue to keep in touch with your service manager, and have him check it out every time you go to the dealer. It's great to have a dealership that is helpful. If you are not happy with what they're telling you, take it to another dealer to get a second opinion. Bottom line though, you have essentially a brand new car, and extended warranty on the new tran.

Redline MT-85 help quite some of my noise. This is the fluid from redline u want to use. It also helped with cold weather notchiness of shifting gears in the cold.
