hey guys i was just wondering if you can swap an automatic transmission to a manual transmission, i have a 2010 7at g37 but i really want a manual now... but since i just bought the car, trading it in wouldnt be so smart so i was just gonna do a tramsmission swap if that was possible??:/ and if it is possible, how much will it be about??

 

you would honestly be better off trading it in and taking the hit then trying to swap the trans.. its just way too involved and would end up costing you more then just getting a new car IMO

oh how i toyed with this idea alot after my 7AT failed on me. short story is nope not going to happen. can it be done yes shoudl it be done no. it would be cheeper to sell your car and buy the MT car you want

 

It's not even worth considering for any modern car. Trade it in for a manual.

 

Just remind yourself that you have a G37, not a 98 Honda Civic.

 

yea i thought about switching it in, but i think ill just keep the car cuz thats too much trouble... maybe for my next car ill get a manual...

 

It's been done on a G35 if I'm not mistaken. Check out g35 driver forums. I'm sure it's pretty involved though.

 

Nip it in the bud...

also, if you don't have navigation and you ever wanna think about adding it from a wrecked G...same answers...way too costly
