question before going FI

So I plan on getting the Stillen supercharger sometime in the winter, my question is what exhaust will work best in conjunction with it, HKS or Borla?

I'm open to suggestions, just had those two in mind. at one point i was looking at the GTM 2.5" exhaust (i heard 2.5" piping is the best for a supercharger application).

yeah, you don't want anything larger than that. the GTM looks and sound great too, either way is good. what else you planning on getting along with the kit?

2.5" would be the appropriate choice with a STILLEN supercharger..

Tranny cooler, valvebody upgrade, and oil cooler. Those should hopefully be done a month or so before I even order the kit.

Awesome prep.. all good choices. We haven't had a lot of time to play with the newer transmission valve body upgrades, so I would recommend doing your homework there. Good news is the trans as is is holding up fine with the supercharger.

i'm making a short list of what you might need to get the SC going

STILLEN SC
OIL COOLER
TRANNY COOLER
VALVE BODY UPGRADE
CBE EXHAUST
(forget about test pipe or hfc's cuz you'll make about the same power using the stock ones, i also heard from friends that ran test pipes actually lost some boost.)
Gauges:
HKS CAMP II
HKS I/F UNIT
HKS BOOST SENSOR
HKS OIL TEMP SENSOR
HKS OIL PRESSURE SENSOR
HKS EGT SENSOR
HKS AFK COMPUTER(Air Fuel/Knock gauge. very expensive though lol)
NAVTOOL (if you want to listen to music and watch the gauge the same time, this is the module you wanna get)
that's it for now lol.

Why monitor EGT for the SC?
To me I'd monitor boost, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp and ofcourse AFR using the AFK.
BTW doesn't the Camp II already reads the oil temp using the stock sensor and OBDII port?

Any more info on the NAVTOOL?

you might as well install the EGT since you can actually see how high your exhaust gas temp is, why not?

the HKS does not read the oil temp, you need the I/F oil temp sensor for it to work. it reads the factory water temp through the ecu though.

the Navtool is a module where you can borrow your stock screen and hook up any AUX through it. i can drive and watch my HKS and still be able to listen to my music. you should go to their site and check it out.

Is the AFK computer necessary?

it is, it monitors your air fuel and you'll know if your engine is knocking or not. i know the price for that unit is crazy expensive but i think it's well worth it. i think i should shut up cuz i can't afford that thing yet hahaha. check out my review thread, i just posted a few more pic's and a short idle video
