I found this video on youtube, this guy tops his out at only 342. Thats almost 100 hp less than Stillens claim. Whats going on?

So there's tweak need to be done to get this SC running correctly? If so what's needed to be done before I get ahead of myself and blow something up haha

there's nothing you need to tweak other than getting a good tune from a reputable tuner. the kit itself is well built and has lot's of potential for power upgrade by a simple pulley change.

A bit more info on that dyno plot would help, like what boost pressure was achieved during the pull. There could be boost leaks causing the lack of power combined with a very conservative tune.
But why speculate.... just buy a GTM system....

37hevn,

I was thinking the same thing when I saw this video, but then I started to think, maybe this dyno was a Mustang or Dyno Dynamics Dyno that read notoriously lower than Dynojets. I wonder what this cars baseline was.

Plus their numbers is reading SAE.

@mt fugi. My iPhone keeps kicking me off the pm reply so I'll answer your questions here instead.

I have since remove the STILLEN kit and moved to the GTM kit. I did have some issues with it but STILLEN was always there to help resolve everything. Nobody can say for sure about what had happened to my car and I definitely don't want to bring back old memories. I'm pretty sure STILLEN has figured out everything and if that's the route you wanna go I'd say go for it.

On the other hand, GTM stage 1 is pretty well built! It utilizes most of the factory parts and less modifications in case you ever want to return your car back to stock. It has a nice clean engine bay look and a total sleeper! The power on this GTM kit is pretty consistent with lots of low end tq whereas my previous STILLEN was I would say pretty weak. Only bad thing about the stage 1 is there's no room to upgrade for more power unless you purchase their different compressor housing and upgraded intake pipings etc but then you'll spend way more money than what you anticipated. Nonetheless! If you ask me which kit to get I would say GTM.

Good luck!

Just installed my Stillen SC last week. Had no problems so far. I had a 400 whp Subaru sti, and my g37 seems to be faster now. I am actually setting up an appointment with Stillen next month, to do straight pipes and re-tune the car on their dyno, will see what numbers it puts down.
