Fields G37 Stillen Supercharger Vid + Pics

Hi. Well I went to the Fields 5th annual bbq meet. I expressed intrest in the supercharger and wanted to address a few issues. The tech took me out for a test drive and boy oh boy it is nice. MY MAIN concern was if this supercharger was going to be obnoxiously loud. Well my concerns were abated when I went for the test drive. I could barely hear the s/c at all inside the cabin with the windows up OR down. When driving down the hwy you can barely hear a little bit and when around the 2000rpm range on the car i could hear a little whistle. Nothing loud and barely noticeable. I think the car also had a cat back exhaust setup. NOt for sure though. I'm still on the fence between the GTM and Stillen. Both look to be great products, but Stillen has to be installed by a certified installer for the warranty which cost a little extra which is neglagble. (sorry my spelling is horrible)
Pics:

This next picture is for a few who have asked about the hose rubbing against the supercharger. They put a outside lining hose on the main hose seen below.

And here is a video of the s/c at work with a couple of revs from the tech.

Sounds good. How does it sound during idle? Is it loud?

Inside its not loud at all. With the hood up you can hear it as the video shows. But in the cabin not too bad and not at all at idle.

The video i checked works for me. let me know.

It drove great. Pull was awesome. The tranny was an automatic and it hit really hard which is good. The downshift hit hard too when you left off the gas but going through the gears was extremely fluid and let the car go to redline when needed.

Did Eric go with you?

They need to re-route those hoses by the S/C.

For example:

I never did get a chance to ask him if they installed tranny/engine oil coolers too. Do you happen to know?

Yeah they said the hoses needed to be rerouted. A tranny cooler or oil cooler was NOT installed on this car. I would highly recommend that it would be though

At least they are aware of the hoses... most definitely tranny/oil coolers! I wonder how often they take people out for test drives in that thing... how long will it hold up? lol
