Performance loss after unplugging battery to reset ECU

Have anyone encountered loss of power from the engine after they unplugged the battery to reset the ECU? I was on factory ECU program.

I had driven the car for over 2 weeks without any improvement in performance.

What could be the problem?

Thanks.

I would also guess that it's in your head. ECU should be able to relearn. Some people after resetting the ECU, take the car out immediately and drive it hard for the ECU to learn those conditions.

Your not gonna gain or loose any power by resetting the ECU. It will simply re-adapt to your driving style as well as any changes made to target AFR's, timing, etc done when tuning the ECU.
You don't even need to reset it for the adaptation to change. Just keep driving the car hard for a while and it will become more responsive and aggressive. Keep driving it soft for a while and it will drive smoother and less aggressive.
Same goes with the tuning. It will eventually learn to meet the target settings made during tuning. Resetting the ECU will arguably make these changes happen immediately.

I had suspected that I have a leak in my exhaust. I tightened all the exhaust bolts and the car seemed to have regained some low end torque. Case solved.
