yes bring it into the gear you want,then go.
if you let the trans downshift it's taking a bigger shock imo.
the way it's set up it's a controlled slide.
it kicks in fully at like 5k, it has a decent amount of torque.
should drive like this from factory.

Unless you have a mechanical compressor forcing air in at above atmospheric pressure levels then you're not considered to be running Forced Induction

Nitrous, Meth Injection etc.. do not fall under forced induction

nitrous has the exact same result as a s/c without the heatsoak.

only difference i would say as far as the actual driving dynamics is nitro is only good for quick bursts of speed.

More air/fuel forced into cylinder raising compression & hp inside the engine.

One is mechanically driven & one electronic.

at the end of the day they both make huge hp/torque. actually nitro is a lot less $$

Since nitrous was used in wwII, id say its a proven method.

Its like ethanol conversion kit, how much hp do you gain from that?

imagine running racing fuel ( we used to have cam II racing fuel with 102 octane.)

would love to see my car on the dyno with that.

To the OP, if you buy the G with the intention to FI mod then you've choose the wrong car. Car like CTS-V, M3 would probably serve you better.

 

Ok a little back on subject.... Will the 7at need the clutches replaced or can they handle 500hp?.... the planetary?

To Code G: Sure they are nice cars, but i've been a fan of nissan. I've owned 3rd gen max, 5th gen max, and 5.5th gen max 6mt (that is a rare car) I love the G. The G supercharged is what I want to do b/c it will be a fun project. I'll grow closer with my car...> dont let my wife see this post. hehe.

 

Clutch packs are normally replaced when they get fried. I'm not sure if it is possible to add clutch packs yet on a 7AT, but it can be done on a 5AT for high HP applications.

Sure it will hold 500WHp ... but no one has ever counted how many times.
